Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are there any ongoing monthly fees or subscription costs?
No! Our nurse call system is a one-time purchase with no ongoing monthly fees or subscription costs. Once you buy the system, it's completely yours. The only optional recurring cost is for SMS and email notifications, but this is completely optional. Everything else - including lifetime technical support, software updates, and system maintenance - is included in your initial purchase.
  • What if our current system is completely broken and we need a replacement immediately?
We understand the urgency when your current system fails. Our nurse call system is designed for quick installation - it's pre-programmed and ready to use out of the box. Installation typically takes just a few hours and involves simple mounting of call buttons and connecting the nurse station. We can expedite shipping if needed, and our lifetime technical support ensures you'll have help every step of the way.
  • How easy is it to train our staff on this system?
Our system is designed to be incredibly user-friendly and requires minimal training. The interface is intuitive, and we provide comprehensive training materials and lifetime technical support. Most staff members can learn the system in under 30 minutes. We also offer phone support to walk your team through any questions, and our pre-programmed system means there's no complex setup required.
  • What if we need two-way communication or intercom capabilities?
Our current system focuses on reliable call notification and response tracking, which addresses the most critical needs for resident safety. While we don't offer built-in two-way communication, our system ensures that every call is received and tracked, eliminating the problem of missed calls that many facilities experience. For communication needs, staff can use existing phone systems or walkie-talkies alongside our call system.
  • Do you offer fall detection or motion sensors for residents who can't press buttons?
Currently, our system focuses on reliable call button functionality with pendants, bedside buttons, and pull cords. While we don't offer automatic fall detection, our bedside call buttons with extension cords are specifically designed for residents with limited mobility - they can easily press a button that's within reach. We also offer pull cords for bathrooms where falls are most likely to occur.
  • Can residents use wristbands instead of neck pendants?
Our system currently offers neck-worn pendants, which are designed for comfort and reliability. The pendants are lightweight for all-day wear and designed to be comfortable. While we don't currently offer wristband options, many facilities find that residents adapt to the neck pendants quickly. The reliability and battery life of our pendant design ensures consistent operation.
  • How does this system compare to cloud-based or Wi-Fi systems?
Our radio frequency-based system offers several advantages over Wi-Fi systems: it works even during internet outages, doesn't require IT infrastructure, and operates independently of your network. This makes it more reliable and easier to maintain. All data is stored locally on your system, ensuring privacy and eliminating concerns about cloud security or internet connectivity issues.
  • Can this system track response times and provide reports on staff performance?
Yes! Our nurse call system includes comprehensive reporting features that track response times, call frequency, and staff performance. You can generate reports showing how long it takes staff to respond to calls, how often residents use the system, and identify any patterns or areas for improvement. This data helps you ensure quality care and can be used for staff training and performance evaluation.
  • What kind of warranty and support do you provide?
We provide a comprehensive 2-year warranty on all products and lifetime technical support at no additional cost. If any component malfunctions, you can ship it back to us for free repair or replacement. Our technical support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time, and we can help with programming, troubleshooting, or any questions you have about the system.
  • How long do the batteries last and how do we know when to replace them?
The call buttons and pendants use standard 23AE battery that typically last 1-2 years depending on usage. The nurse station automatically monitors battery levels and will alert you when batteries are running low, so you can replace them before there's any service interruption. The batteries are common 23AE battery that you can purchase at any store, making replacement simple and cost-effective.
